EAG: Evolution de l'Agrégation des Galaxies
EAG is an end of studies project for Epitech, a french school dedicated to new technologies and computer science.
The project is carried out by 6 students of Epitech : Marion Bouguet, Sébastient Reybier, Mickael Sardinha, Florian Perrin,
Nicolas Laubard and François Vuerich, and in collaboration with Sébastien Foucaud, doctor in astrophysics. He wrote a thesis
on Galaxies clustering in 2003 to abtain the title of docteur de l'Université de Provence, in the speciality Radiation & Plasma:
" Photométrie profonde et multi couleur à grand champ : Evolution de l'agrégation des galaxies ".
The main goal of this project is to provide an efficient calculation tool for astrophysicists who are working on galaxies clustering.
The application uses galaxies catalogues in entry (in ASCII or FITS format), and outputs correlation coeficient of the provided catalogue.
We are willing to help researchers to put forward patterns that would explain the way galaxies are gathering along ages by searching
likenesses in their geometry.
